Sugar Valley Freshmen Shine: Wrestling Team Takes 4th Place in Phillipsburg Mountie Girls Tournament
PHILLIPSBURG – The Sugar Valley Rural Charter School girls wrestling team had a busy few days. After a late Friday in Williamsport, the girls were back in action on Saturday at the Phillipsburg Mountie Girls Tournament. Sugar Valley’s Marrin Clester, a freshman, finished in 1st place at 190 on Saturday. This comes on the heels of a 4th place finish in Williamsport the night before.
Evie Andrus, also a freshman, ended with a third-place finish at 124. Evie joined the team right before Christmas and is making great strides in learning the sport.
Overall, the team finished in 4th place, their highest finish this season.
