Free electronics recycling event announced for Saturday:
PORTER TOWNSHIP, PA – On Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, and at no cost to Clinton County residents, CleanScapes is hosting their 2nd annual electronics collection event at the Clinton County Conservation District facility along Route 64 in Porter Township.
Working and non-working electronics will be accepted, such as but not limited to TV’s, CD players, gaming consoles, cords and cables, and all computers and components. Large appliances, air conditioners, and business drop-offs will not be accepted, please contact the Wayne Twp. Landfill.
This event is sponsored by a grant from the Clinton County Community Foundation combined with donations from Bald Eagle Township and Brenda and Don Lysle. “This year we are once again partnering with a local electronics recycling facility eLoop. We feel very fortunate to offer this program and we hope to meet our goal of collecting 10,000 pounds in three hours!”, stated CleanScapes Project Director Elisabeth Lynch.
Lock Haven University students will help unload vehicles and AmeriCorps Seniors will be on hand to assist the public when they arrive. Registration is required for a drop-off time and registrations will be accepted until Friday at 12 noon, or until the10,000 pounds maximum weight limit is reached.
