LOCK HAVEN, PA – Laurel Moyer (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) was second overall and Cadie Kiser (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) placed fifth as the Bald Eagles front-running duo pushed the Lock Haven University women’s cross country team to a second-place finish in Saturday’s 2020-21 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships, held on LHU’s West Branch Cross Country Course at the Stern Athletic Complex.

Moyer and Kiser were joined in the top-10 by Elaina Klinger (Danville, Pa./Danville), who ran a brilliant race. Klinger’s ninth-place finish helped the Bald Eagles put a trio in the top-10 as those three earned All-Conference honors. To earn All-Conference honors, one must have finished in the top-30 (First Team; place 1-15).

The second-place team finish matched the Bald Eagles best team finish in school history. The women’s team was also second back in 2000.

Moyer was second out of 149 runners. She covered the 5K course in 17:55.5 and was bested only by fellow PSAC standout Stefanie Parsons of Edinboro.

Kiser was fifth in 18:48.1 and Klinger recorded a time of 19:13.2 on the way to her ninth-place finish.
Morgan Perry (Quarryville, Pa./Solanco) and Karlee Noel (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) finished 32nd (19:53.6) and 35th (19:57.8), respectively. Kirsten Lloyd (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) finished 38th.

Edinboro finished 1-3-4 and topped Lock Haven with 58 points. The Bald Eagles tallied an 83-point team score for second place. Seton Hill and Gannon both scored 118 points, but Seton Hill was third on tiebreak criteria.

Slippery Rock rounded out the top five.
