State police say charges pending against Jersey Shore man in vandalism to ATM
SALLADASBURG, PA – State police say they know the identity of a Jersey Shore man who took some tools to an ATM machine after it kept his credit card.
The Montoursville state police report said the incident occurred on Jan. 16 at the Dandy Mart along Route 287 in Salladasburg. Police said the man attempted to use his ATM card to carry out a transaction on a Jersey Shore State Bank-owned ATM machine. The machine kept the man’s card and he was unable to complete the transaction. Police said he then used various tools from the trunk of his vehicle to cause some $8,400 in damages to the machine; he then fled the scene.
Police said the accused was identified as 52-years-old and from Jersey Shore and criminal mischief charges are pending against him.
