Clinton County GOP Extends Voter Registration Edge over Democrats
LOCK HAVEN – Clinton County Voter Registrar Maria Boileau has released updated voter registration statistics, the first since the June primary, and they show that county Republicans have increased their voter registration edge over the Democrats.
As of July 17, there are 10,745 registered Republicans and 7,565 Democrats, a difference of 3,180. At the time of the June primary, there were 10,565 Republicans eligible to vote and 7,598 Democrats. Since the primary the GOP has added 180 new voters, while the Democrats have lost 33.
Last week’s numbers show 55 new Republican applications and 22 new Democratic applications, along with one Libertarian application and 20 with no affiliation, for a total of 98 new voters. There were also 77 party changes recorded.
