Avis area man to face trial on indecent assault charges

LOCK HAVEN, PA – Robert Lee Aungst, Jr., of Fetzer Lane, Lock Haven, waived his preliminary hearing on Monday on two counts of indecent assault, allegedly committed in February of this year in Pine Creek Township.

Authorities said Aungst is alleged to have had unwanted indecent sexual contact with two females, one 19 years of age, and the other 17 years of age.

Aungst appeared in Clinton County Central Court on Monday and elected to waive the preliminary hearing scheduled to occur that afternoon. Aungst will face trial on both charges before the Clinton County Court of Common Pleas during the January 2024 trial term. Aungst was charged by Pine Creek Township Police officer Lauren Lucas and Sgt. Denny Gill.
