Jurors summoned for St. John trial no longer required to appear
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Any Clinton County resident who was summoned for jury selection on October 3, 4, 5 or 6 have been notified that they are no longer required to appear on their designated date and time, per a Monday announcement from Clinton County Court Administrator Don Powers:
In anticipation of the jury trial scheduled for mid-October in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania vs Brian St. John, III, the Clinton County Court of Common Pleas summoned 480 Clinton County residents to be questioned as potential jurors, with the expectation that twelve jurors and 6 alternate jurors could be seated. As reported last week, Mr. St. John pleaded guilty to several charges on September 12, 2023, and with that plea, the need for a trial disappeared.
Court Tipstaves and other Court staff contacted all 480 individuals by telephone to inform them of their release from service but contact could not be confirmed for approximately 130 people due to changed phone numbers or voice mail messages that did not include a name.
