Red carpet welcome for first school day at Robb Elementary
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The staff at Robb Elementary School made sure Wednesday’s first day of school was extra special for the students.
The incoming elementary students received a red-carpet welcome from staff members as they made their way into the building. Whether arriving by bus or by foot, all had the opportunity to make their entrance through a limousine parked on E. Church Streeet in front of the school, then onto the red carpet, greeted by a phalanx of Robb teachers and up the steps and into the building for the start of the new school year, all this while up-tempo music streamed from a sound system.
The Keystone Central District was the last of the area school districts to start the new school year. There were reports of some bus delays, due to heavy overnight rain, in the Beech Creek/Blanchard/Marsh Creek area.
Wednesday also marked the first day that new bus routes had to be implemented in the Flemington/Lock Haven area due to the temporary closure of the Flemington Bridge.
