LH JAMS up and running
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The 2023 edition of LH JAMS is underway; three days of music and arts in the heart of the city kicked off Friday night before an appreciative crowd at the Roxy Theatre. The occasion was an appearance by York Street Hustle, Philadelphia’s premier Motown band. The 10-piece group drew two encores from the audience; their second JAMS appearance, the first in 2021.
LH JAMS will continue with free music Friday and Saturday. Friday will see a visit from Velveeta, a longstanding Centre County party band hosting a JAMS block party from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Main and Grove Streets stage.
Saturday will see daylong free music, starting at 12 noon on the Main and Grove Streets stage and the Elks Building patio. The live music will conclude Saturday with a 7 p.m. performance on the Elks patio from the B-Street Band, a tribute to Bruce Springsteen and his E-Street Band. A variety of artists will be exhibiting on a closed-off Main Street during the day Saturday and many downtown restaurants will be featuring outdoor dining.
