Woodward Township’s Riverfest 2023 unveils skating area


LOCKPORT, PA – Woodward Township Recreation Committee’s Riverfest 2023 drew a large throng Friday evening at the Lockport Boat Launch. Activities included the debut of Downtown Lock Haven Inc.’s new synthetic skating area; purchased through a grant from the Clinton County Community Foundation, it proved popular with children trying their luck. Walkers were available to provide assistance.

Three days of activities began Thursday evening and continue through a fireworks wrap-up on Saturday night.
Organizers ask the public to come by and buy a chance on a plastic duck or two for a chance to win the $1,000 top prize if your duck crosses the derby finish line first on Saturday. The ducks go into the Susquehanna Saturday at 5 p.m.

Flashback was on stage Friday until 9 p.m., and Classic Rock Revival plays Saturday from 7-10 p.m., to be followed by fireworks.

There’s plenty of food, games, craft vendors and more. followed by fireworks after Saturday’s music ends. Proceeds benefit Woodward Township Recreation Committee.
