Keystone Seniors stay alive, down Allegheny Mountain, 11-1
ATHENS, PA – The Keystone Senior All-Star team bounced back big time Tuesday with an 11-1, 5-innng win over Allegheny Mountain in a sectional tournament elimination game played in Athens. With the win, Keystone moved into the Wednesday championship game against Warrior Run, a team that defeated Keystone on Sunday by an 11-3 score. Keystone would have to beat the Defenders twice to earn the sectional title. Wednesday’s game has a 5:30 p.m. start.
Blake Walker and Malaky Moyd brought the lumber, each with a homerun and two RBIs, Walker also with a double and Moyd with a single; Walker also scored three runs. Griffin Kerstetter and Darius Shade each had a single and two RBIs and singles also came from Aiden Jones, Cole Cooper and Donovan Seyler.
Moyd, Austin Andrus and Jared Bischof shared mound duties, combing for a 2-hitter, Moyd going the first three to earn the win. Their defense played errorless ball behind them.
