Clinton County’s air quality alert hiked to red, extended through Thursday evening
STATE COLLEGE, PA – The National Weather Service in State College has extended the air quality alert in Clinton County and the rest of the central Pennsylvania area; the alert has also been elevated from orange to red. The NWS says an upper low in Canada is sending smoke from Canadian fires into the Great Lakes to the Mid-South and Mid-Atlantic, resulting in the air quality posting.
The most recent alert has extended its timeline to 5 p.m. on Thursday:
