A Little Magic in the Air: Farwell’s Christmas Tradition Returns
FARWELL – The holiday season is upon us, and Farwell is once again preparing to shine with its amazing annual event, A Little Magic in the Air, set to take place on Thursday, December 14, along Central Avenue. With the spirit of Christmas shining brightly, the community is coming together to create a truly unforgettable evening of lights, laughter, and festive cheer.
A Spectacular Light Display
Elves have been hard at work, crafting delightful surprises for visitors of all ages. This year’s light display promises to be more enchanting than ever, a testament to the dedication and creativity of Central Avenue residents who elevate their efforts year after year. If you haven’t yet experienced the wonder of the lights, this is the perfect time to start a new family tradition.
Santa’s Mailbox Is Ready for Wishes
Santa’s mailbox will make its official debut at 940 Central Avenue on Thanksgiving Day. Children can drop off their letters to Santa, with every note receiving a reply. For families unable to attend the event on December 14, be sure to include a self-addressed stamped envelope to receive a response by mail—straight from the North Pole!
An Evening of Holiday Magic
The festivities will run from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a driving tour available after 8:00 PM for those who prefer to enjoy the lights from their vehicles. Visitors can look forward to a host of attractions, including twinkling lights, festive inflatables, live music, exciting activities, and even live reindeer! Santa Claus himself will make a special appearance, spreading joy to all who attend.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, guests are kindly asked to park at the Bucktail School campus. Parking along Route 120 is prohibited.
A Heartfelt Tribute to the Past
The magic of this cherished event traces back to its origin in 2016, when Farwell resident Deb Bauer envisioned a special celebration to bring joy to her dear friend Cheryl Daubert. Cheryl, battling cancer and facing her last Christmas, was the inspiration behind the first Christmas on the Avenue. Both Deb and Cheryl passed away in 2017, but their legacy lives on through this beautiful event, which continues to unite the community in the spirit of love and holiday magic.
Join the Celebration
The residents of Central Avenue warmly invite everyone to share in the joy of A Little Magic in the Air. Come marvel at the dazzling lights, enjoy the festive atmosphere, and make lasting memories with family and friends.
This cherished tradition is sure to fill your heart with the wonder and warmth of the holiday season.
Mark your calendars for December 14 and join us on Central Avenue for an evening of magic and celebration!
