Grant Miller passes away at 89
MACKEYVILLE, PA – C. Grant Miller, a modest man who assisted untold hundreds of community members and projects, passed away at his Mackeyville home Saturday at the age of 89.
The Walker Funeral Home has announced that a public viewing will be held on Friday, June 23 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at “Grant’s Museum” on Mackeyville Road in Lamar Township with a private service and interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery to follow at the convenience of the family.
Mr. Miller, a US Army veteran, spent much of his adult lifetime in the auto business, including a dealership on Hogan Boulevard, then establishing his Central PA Auto Auction in Lamar Township, a successful business which allowed Mr. Miller to build on his lifelong passion to give back to the community.
Most recently, earlier this year Mr. Miller and his wife Jeanne who survives, made a substantial donation to the Cedar Hill Cemetery Association for a new cemetery entrance archway.
