Richard Morris Announces for Commissioner
LOCK HAVEN – Richard Morris has announced that he will seek a Democratic nomination for County Commissioner in the 2015 Municipal Primary election.
Richard has maintained a ten-year interest in local government issues and, despite being narrowly defeated in the Commissioner election in 2011, he continues to devote his own time to a close examination of the performance of county and city elected officials to safeguard the interests of ordinary citizens.
Richard moved from England, where he worked as a Human Resources Executive for the Ford Motor Company, in 1991. A Clinton County resident for the last 23 years, he pursued a career as a real estate agent and became a US citizen in 2010.
He has a Master’s degree from the University of Cambridge and a post–graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Oxford. He is the father of two daughters, Rachel and Julien, and lives in Sunset Pines. He is the current President of the Kiwanis Club of Mill Hall, Secretary of the Board of Trustees of Ross Library, a Director of the Clinton County Historical Society and a volunteer at the Station Gallery of the Clinton County Arts Council.
