Wildcats Finish First Day at Escape the Rock

Eight Wrestlers Still Alive

HOLLAND – When wrestling resumes Sunday morning at the 10th annual Escape the Rock wrestling tournament, Central Mountain will have eight wrestlers competing to place in the rugged event.

The Wildcats went 0-for-4 in the quarterfinal round while four others won second round consolation matches; together the eight will be competing Sunday in a consolation round three beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Central Mountain is currently in fifteenth place with 46.5 points. Bethlehem Catholic leads with 106.5, followed by Cumberland Valley with 82 and Colonial Forge of Virginia with 79.5. There are 32 teams competing.

The Wildcats are without starters Gavin Caprio at 170 pounds and Isaac Porter at 182. Both are coming back from injuries and Porter, who wrestled and won against Bellefonte on Thursday night, was held out as a precaution. Both are due back later this month.
