lhu-matsPHILADELPHIA – The Lock Haven University wrestling team fell 22-9 on the road Saturday at Penn.

Dillon Gavlock (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain), Jake Field (South Elgin, Ill./Marmion Academy) and Elias Biddle(Turbotville, Pa./Warrior Run) all won for Lock Haven.

Penn bounced back to win three straight, before Biddle (157) picked up the Bald Eagles third win (4-0) in the afternoon’s final bout.

No. 24 Fred Garcia (Donora, Pa./Ringgold) nearly scored a major upset, as his takedown at the buzzer left him just a point short (3-2) of upsetting No. 5 Lorenzo Thomas.

Friday night Lock Haven jumped on host-Drexel early and outlasted the Dragons rally for an 18-15 win.

LHU won six of ten bouts on the way to the win.
