Lock Haven Holds off Drexel 18-15
PHILADELPHIA – The Lock Haven University wrestling team jumped on Drexel early, winning five of the first six bouts and the Bald Eagles held off a Dragon-rally for an 18-15 road win Friday night.
In all, Lock Haven, now 3-7, won six bouts on the way to the non-conference win. Highlighting the win was Dan Neff (Quarryville, Pa./Solanco), who upset No. 25 Matt Cimato, 4-1 at 149.
Jake Field (South Elgin, Ill./Marmion Academy) got the Bald Eagles rolling with a win at 125.
Bobby Rehm’s (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) win at 141 sparked a string of four straight wins for Lock Haven, propelling them to victory. Elias Biddle (Turbotville, Pa./Warrior Run) and Aaron McKinney (McDonald, Pa./West Allegheny) picked up important wins at 157 and 165 respectively.
Phil Sprenkle (Seven Valleys, Pa./Dallastown) added a big win at 197. Lock Haven is right back at it Saturday at noon when the Bald Eagles take on Penn.
