HYNER, PA – Here’s a math problem for you: what do you get when you add together bands, brews, and the tasty delights made fresh from Kate and Vinnie Kishbaugh’s team at Good Neighbor Craft House? The answer is a recipe for the start of a musical weekend.

Beginning Friday evening, June 23 and all day Saturday, June 24 is Bands in the Bend, an inaugural music celebration taking place at Good Neighbor Craft House, 9650 Renovo Road at the base of Hyner Mountain.

“We absolutely love live music venues and we have wanted to have live music here since we opened,” Kate Kishbaugh said. “We weren’t able to do this last summer, but this summer we will totally be taking advantage of having music outside on our full stage out back behind the restaurant.”

When Kate and Vinnie initially toured the space prior to opening the very popular Good Neighbor Craft House, they knew something like this was going to happen as soon as they saw the stage. “We were able to line some things up this year to make it happen,” Kate said.

Bands in the Bend is an age 21 and over event, so only those 21 years of age or older will be allowed in.

The event has music beginning at 6 PM on Friday, June 23 and going until 10:30 or 11 PM, and then beginning again the next day at noon, also going into the late evening hours.

Tent or vehicle/camping is allowed for a small fee, but campfires will not be permitted (full details at the end of this story). The proceeds from camping and parking will be donated to The Greater Renovo Area Heritage Park, Kate said.

General admission tickets are currently on sale for $35. Are you a member of the Good Neighbor Craft House “Mug Club?” Then your ticket for the weekend of music is discounted to $25, but hurry – only 300 tickets will be sold.

Food will be available for sale, but it will not be the full normal menu line-up.”We plan to serve a concession-style menu including wings, fries, pizza, sausage sandwiches, and full details will be announced closer to the event,” said Kate.
