LADY WILDCATS FALL AT DANVILLE
DANVILLE — The Central Mountain girls basketball team traveled to Danville on Saturday and came up short, falling 51–33.
Danville set the tone early, building a 15–8 lead after the opening quarter and taking a 28–19 advantage into halftime. Central Mountain struggled to find offensive rhythm in the second half, as Danville outscored the Lady Wildcats 14–6 in the third quarter to create separation.
Camdyn Weaver led Central Mountain with 11 points, while Payton Williams added eight and Reagan Weaver finished with six. Elise McKean contributed four points, Alaina Carnahan scored three, and Morgan Davis added one to round out the scoring.
The loss drops the Lady Wildcats to 1–3 on the season. Central Mountain will look to bounce back on Monday, Dec. 22, when they return home to host Hughesville. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
