SHNGLEHOUSE, PA- It took the Bucktail softball team just 50 minutes to defeat Oswayo Valley 15-0 last week in Farwell. This time around it was the Lady Bucks turn to hit the road on Wednesday. Bucktail jumped on Oswayo Valley 4-0 after one inning and would add a single run in the top of the second inning to hold the 5-0 lead. The home team would score a run in the bottom of the third inning to narrow Bucktail’s lead to 5-1.
Sockman would connect on a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning, which would be part of an 11-run inning for Bucktail and would set the 16-1 final.
Sockman’s home run was one of her 4 hits in the contest. She would connect on a pair of singles and a double, while racking up 5 RBI’s. Fellow freshman Makenna Stone would also go 4 for 4 on the day, with a double and scoring three runs. Mak Wagner would go 2 for 3 with a triple.
