Bucktail baseball drops final game to CMVT 16-0
By Bees O’Brien
FARWELL, PA- In what has been a challenging season for Bucktail baseball has come to an end. The Bucks were hoping to carry over some momentum on Tuesday following their 23-7 victory at Northern Potter over the weekend but visiting Columbia Montour Vo-Tech had other plans
The Rams would take advantage of 9 walks and 11 Bucktail errors combined with a no-hitter thrown by two CMVT pitchers would result in a 16-0 road victory for the visitors.
CMVT would score 4 runs in the first inning and explode for 11 runs in the second inning. They would add a lone run in the third inning to gain the mercy rule win.
Ethan Kalafut, Ethan Charcalla and Talan Ditty would be Bucktail’s only baserunners, as all three drew walks.
The Bucks finish the season at 2-15 but have no seniors and look to return everybody from this season’s roster. They also will have a very talented incoming freshman class to help get the program moving in the right direction.
Columbia Montour Vo-Tech finished their season at 5-14.
