Renovo’s Minor A team- The Sons and Daughters of Italy move to 6-0
RENOVO, PA – The Renovo’s Minor A team, the Sons and Daughters of Italy, have won yet another game this week, making them 6-0.
This young group of girls have set their aim high and are knocking it right out of the park. Their constant hard work and dedication, while working together and supporting each other have earned these girls an undefeated start to the season, winning their game on Friday evening at North Bend against Salladaysburg, 7-6.
Their success didn’t come easy though. With much defeat last year, our girls had to work on themselves as players and as a team and that’s exactly what they are doing. Every single one of them continues to display exponential growth at practice and on game days. We all see it and are so proud of these girls. They have come into this season ready to put their foot forward, keep up the hard work, and learn from their coaches-who are dedicated to helping each girl on the team learn new techniques and thrive. They are putting it all into play on the field and it is working.
“We don’t come to lose anymore, we come to win” as one of the players stated with a big smile. And guess what? We absolutely believe her.
To these girls individually, their team and to their coaches: We are The Sons and Daughters of Italy proud, and not just for the winning. This is a team made of growth, passion and hard work, all mixed together with their love of softball.
That, our girls, is something to truly be proud of.
