Bridge-to-Bridge Run honoring veterans held Sunday

CASTANEA TOWNSHIP, PA – There was a great turnout Sunday for the second annual Collins-Toboz Bridge-to-Bridge Run, a 10K race that runs from the David M. Collins Veterans Memorial Bridge in Mill Hall to the Petty Officer Stephen “Turbo” Toboz, Jr. Bridge in Lock Haven.

In all, 135 crossed the finish line in an event that supports local veterans and honors two local heroes and Navy SEALS, the late Dave Collins and now-retired SEAL Steve “Turbo” Toboz. who was back in town to run the race again this year.

Lock Haven’s Michael DiCello, for the second year, finished first, followed by Shannen Roy, a senior at Lock Haven University.

Central Mountain wrestling, past and present, was well represented in Sunday’s Bridge-to-Bridge run; from the left, Wildcat coach Biff Walizer, former Lock Haven High wrestler/retired SEAL Steve Toboz, Central Mountain wrestler Griffin Walizer, assistant CM coach and former LHHS wrestler Steve Krouse and former Wildcat wrestler Johnny Shreffler. Shreffler finished in second place in his division. Wildcat assistant coach Dylan Caprio also participated, but missed the photo op.
