County small business grant info due Monday
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Clinton County, as promised by the county commissioners at their work session last Monday, as of this coming Monday will unveil particulars on its “2023 Small Business Grant Program.”
Per word from county commissioner board chairman Miles Kessinger earlier this week, the county has come up with a plan to utilize some of the county’s remaining American Rescue Plan money to dispense to local businesses.
Kessinger said at that work session that the county will be accepting applications for grants up to $10,000 for businesses that are recent start-ups, preparing to open, or suffered financial difficulties during the pandemic. The money will come from federal ARP funds the county has received. The board chairman said qualifying expenses could include inventory, utilities or income lost in running a business.
Grant application specifics will be on the county website as of Monday, according to a Friday posting on that website:
2023 SMALL BUSINESS GRANT PROGRAM
Due to the economic hardships experienced by local small businesses, Clinton County is launching the 2023 Small Business Grant Program in an effort to stabilize local businesses.
This program is funded with money received from the American Rescue Plan grant issued to Clinton County and is subject to certain requirements as described in the application.
