CM softball victim of no-hitter at Mifflin County

LEWISTOWN, PA – Central Mountain varsity softball fell to Mifflin County by a score of 6-0 on the road on Monday.

The Lady Wildcats couldn’t connect in the batters box as they were no hit by Mifflin County’s Maddie Wolfgang.  Central Mountain managed three base runners on the day including, Maddie Hardy who was hit by a pitch and advanced to second base on a wild pitch in the first inning, Madisyn Wian who walked in the fifth inning and Allison Lininger who walked in the sixth inning.

Lininger started the game in the circle for the Wildcats and pitched four innings, giving up six runs on seven hits with one strikeout and four walks.  Joslyn Schultz came in relief and pitched the final two innings facing six batters and allowing no hits while striking out two and issuing no walks.

Central Mountain’s record stands at 1-1 and they will return to action Tuesday at home vs Williamsport (0-0) and Jersey Shore (1-0) will visit the Lady Wildcats on Thursday..
