Eleanor Jane Saxton – Obituary

Eleanor Jane Saxton, 76, of 2 Park Drive, Lock Haven, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Lock Haven Skilled Nursing.

Jane was born in Lock Haven on September 27, 1938, the daughter of the late Frank and Hazel Wadsworth Cycak.

She was a 1956 graduate of Lock Haven High School.

On November 25, 1957 in Cumberland, MD, Jane married Alva N. Saxton, Sr., who survives.

Jane was protestant by faith.

She tended bar and was a cook at the Forty and Eight for over 30 years.

Jane enjoyed trips to the Seneca and Atlantic City casinos, playing bingo and was an avid fan of Elvis Presley. She also loved playing cards at her son’s house a couple times week with her loving family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Alva N. (Becky) Saxton, Jr. of Lock Haven; several nieces and nephews; and a very special little girl Jane called her angel, Brynnlee Cline.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Baney and Rose Stamm.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
