Born in Lancaster City on March 12, 1959, he was the son of the late D. George and Rhoda Stoltzfus Beiler.

On March 20, 1982, he married the love of his life, the former Priscilla S. Dienner, who survives.

Dan was employed at Bald Eagle Boys’ Camp, which was more of a calling than a career. He served there for 19 years, together with his wife, providing support and guidance to families who participated in the therapeutic wilderness camp.

He was a member and lay pastor of Lock Haven Mennonite Church for many years. Dan and Sil  spoke at marriage conferences, youth conferences, and various events. They also served with Northern Youth Programs in Ontario for 13 years (1990-2003). Most of Dan’s adult life was dedicated to serving God and others, whether in missions or his local community. He was a loving father and enjoyed time with his grandchildren.

In his spare time, Dan enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and entrepreneurial ventures. He loved the outdoors, especially the mountains of Northern PA and the bushland of northwestern Ontario. He also loved to sing, especially with his wife and children.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four siblings: Yvonne wife of John Groff, Karen Beiler, Rose wife of John Dienner, and Derrell husband of Ginger Beiler, his children: Melody wife of Robin Soukup, Nevin husband of Nancy Beiler, Annette wife of Brent Schrock, Crystal wife of Duane Fisher, and Kenneth Beiler, and 8 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 3 P.M. at the Blanchard Church of Christ, 161 Beach Street, Blanchard, PA 16826 with Pastor Kenneth Gehman officiating. The burial committal service will follow at Hays-Fearon-Bossert Cemetery, Beech Creek.

Friends and family will be received at the church for a time of viewing on Friday from 2 to 4 P.M. and 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. and again on Saturday afternoon (no family receiving line on Saturday) from 2 P.M. until the time of the service.
