Marvin L. Haagen, 64, of 6390 Nittany Valley Dr., Mill Hall, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Lock Haven Hospital.

Born on October 4, 1950 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Harold and Jennie Probst Haagen.

Marvin was a 1968 graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School.

By trade he was a self-employed farmer and mechanic.

Marvin loved riding his Harley and tinkering in his shop.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed cutting wood, and loved going to camp.

Surviving is Marvin’s companion of 27 years, Linda D. Long; a son, William L. Haagen of McElhattan; two daughters, Michelle L. (James) Hess of Lock Haven and Danielle L.
(Nicholas) Brumbaugh of Beaver Springs; a step-son, Thomas R. (Tara) Long, IV of Mill Hall; a step-daughter, Brandy C. DeHass of Bellefonte; a brother, Darl E. (Rita) Haagen of Avondale, AZ; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and his beloved Min Pin, Cherokee.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 3 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington with the Rev. Scott Garman officiating.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home from 1 P.M. until the time of the service.
