Thomas W. Conklin, 69, of 414 Jarrett Ave., Castanea, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at his home.

Tom was born in Lock Haven on August 5, 1945, the son of the late Gershon and Catherine Mihalik Conklin.

Tom was a 1964 graduate of Lock Haven High School.

On April 27, 1967 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, he married the former Mary E. Seybold who survives.

Tom was a Veteran of the U.S. National Guard, serving from 1965 to 1966.

Tom was employed at Piper Aircraft for 20 years before going to work for Lockheed Martin, retiring in 2001 after 20 years of service.

Tom was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Lock Haven.

He was a lifetime member and past trustee of the Lock Haven Elks Lodge, a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of Castanea Fire Company, a charter member of Castanea Sportsman’s Lodge, a member of the 40 & 8, the Beech Creek Legion, the Lock Haven Moose Lodge and the Lock Haven Son’s of Italy.

Tom enjoyed spending time at his river lot and going to camp with his friends and family and adored the time he spent with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Cicily A. (Arthur, Jr.) Nonemaker of Lock Haven and Christa E. (Marek) Conklin of Wraclow, Poland; three brothers, Robert (Joanne) Conklin of Lancaster, David (Karen) Conklin of McElhattan, and Marshall Conklin of Lock Haven; two sisters, Joanne (Burt) Wilson of Lancaster and Peggy (Ron) Cingle of Pottsville; four grandchildren, Riley and Luke Nonemaker and Eliza and Maja Balicki.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 3 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven, Pa 17745 with Rev. Father Joseph Orr officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.

Friends and family will be received Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa 17745 with a Knights of Columbus service at 7:45 immediately followed by an Elk’s Lodge service.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Lock Haven Catholic School Endowment Fund.
