Frank seeks third term for Porter Twp. Supervisor
PORTER TOWNSHIP, PA- Supervisor Kevin Frank has announced he is seeking the Republican nomination for another six-year term as supervisor for Porter Township. Supervisor Frank was first elected in 2012. He then was appointed Chairman of the board in 2013 and has been re-appointed chairman each year thereafter for the past 10 years. Kevin has proudly filled many positions in the community and township over the years. Frank says, “I look forward to continuing to help make Porter Township a better place to live, work and recreate while respecting our past history and adapting into the future for all.”
Frank spearheaded the creation of a Recreation Board in 2014 achieving many projects, developing continuous growth for the park about which he comments “there is so much more to do”. He then was appointed Recreation Board Chairman for several years after chairing many park celebration events.
The 175th anniversary parade chairman, Frank was the first community day emergency awareness coordinator, and has been involved in multiple township improvements, including the re-location of the memorial site, developing a walking trail, dedication of the baseball field and he has continued to be the park manager, taking pavilion reservations for the past nine years.
He serves as the Porter representative for the Clinton County Emergency Management agency. He has been a member of the Nittany Valley Volunteer fire company for many years and served board positions, organizing many fundraising events in the past and is part of the fire police serving the community.
Frank is currently on the Executive Board president of the Clinton County Association of Township Officials and a board member for the past five years. As a resident of Porter Township, he is employed at Dotterer Equipment Inc. and also he is an EMT, Emergency Medical Technician part time. He resides with his wife Misty and has a son Michael.
