Harding announces re-election campaign for Clinton County Commissioner

MILL HALL, PA – Angela Harding, Clinton County’s first elected female commissioner, has announced her intention to seek re-election for a second term.

Harding, a Democrat, was elected in 2019 and began her term in 2020. In 2021 she was nominated and awarded the Pennsylvania Rural Health Legislator of the Year for her work in creating and facilitating the Clinton County Coalition in response to the COVID19 pandemic. The coalition brought together community leaders across the county representing county, state, city, education, healthcare, first responders, and others. Over 20 stakeholders met weekly via Zoom during the pandemic to discuss public safety and share resources.

The same year, Harding was nominated as an Outstanding Elected Democratic Woman by the Pennsylvania Federation of Democratic Women. Currently, she serves on 12 authorities/boards as the commissioner representative including Advance Central PA Workforce Development, Clinton County Recreation Authority, Solid Waste Authority, Conservation District, and Downtown Lock Haven, Inc.

In addition to her appointments, Harding continues her volunteerism by serving on the boards of the Clinton County United Way, the Keystone Central Foundation and is a twenty year member of the Lock Haven Kiwanis Club. During her term, Harding has hosted student interns both in high school and college and she serves on the KCSD Career and Technical Center Advisory Committee.

Any chance I can get to engage the youth in my work, I’m going to.” During her term, Harding has worked on innumerable projects with county staff including distributing CARES and ARPA funding into the community, outdoor recreation development and trail progress, relocation incentives, and modernizing county government. “I am very proud of the work I’ve done and I will be honored to continue to serve and work for Clinton County”.
