Lady Bulldogs win streak at seven; down Central Mountain, 47-37

JERSEY SHORE, PA – The Jersey Shore girls’ basketball team has been unstoppable in recent weeks, winning their seventh game in a row by a 47-37 score over visiting Central Mountain Friday night.

The game was close for a while, ‘Shore up 17-12 after one and 23-16 at the half. But the Lady ‘Dogs used a 15-4 split in period three to break things open and move to 8-2 on the season, 4-0 in Heartland Conference play. It was the fifth loss in a row for CM, now 0-5 in the Heartland and 3-8 overall.

Macy Plowman led Central Mountain with 12 points. Other CM points came from Tara Mader 7, Taylor and Ava Doyle with 5, Kiahna Jones 4 and 2 each from Morgan Temple and Keely Rohrbach. ‘Shore sophomore Peyton Dincher paced her team with 22 points.

The Lady Wildcats will try to break their skid when they return home Tuesday to meet Selinsgrove (3-10).
