BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – It was not for lack of effort Tuesday night, as the Central Mountain Lady Wildcats battled hard for the entire 32 minutes, but visiting Lewisburg left with a hard-earned 48-38 victory.
The win put the Lady Dragons at 7-4 overall, 3-2 in the Heartland Athletic Conference. The loss, the fourth in a row, all in conference play, put CM at 3-7 overall, 0-4 in the Heartland.
Turnovers proved to be a factor in a game that stayed close throughout, Central Mountain with 27, Lewisburg with 14. The Lady Dragons led 19-13 after one, 25-19 at halftime and 34-30 after three. But a 14-8 split in the final eight minutes helped earn the visitors the win, answering the Lady Wildcats’ continuing effort to take the lead.
