Danville downs Lady Wildcats, 50-33

DANVILLE, PA – The Central Mountain girls’ basketball team was back on the Heartland Conference road Friday night and stayed with Danville for a while, the Lady Ironmen ultimately pulling away for a 50-33 win.

Kiahna Jones again led the CM effort with 10 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. Other scorers were Ava Doyle with 8, Keely Rohrbach with 6, Taylor Doyle with 6, Tara Mader 3 and Morgan Temple with 1. The Lady Wildcats had a good night on the boards, 41 in all, the Doyle twins putting up 13 between them, along with the 12 from Jones.

Central Mountain dropped to 3-6 with the loss, 0-2 in conference play. Danville is now 3-6 overall, 1-1 in the Heartland.

The Lady ‘Cats will return home Tuesday, Jan. 10 against Lewisburg (6-3; 2-2).
