Byerly announces county commissioner candidacy

LOCK HAVEN, PA – Two-term Lock Haven City Councilman, Doug Byerly on Wednesday evening hosted a kick-off event at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles club in Lock Haven to officially announce his candidacy for Clinton County Commissioner in the upcoming May primary in 2023.
Addressing a gathering of family, friends, and supporters, Byerly noted that he is honored to serve the city as a councilman and looks forward to taking this experience to the county level to work with all citizens, municipalities, and organizations to find ways to make Clinton County an even better place to live and work.
Byerly thanked his campaign committee members: Chairman John Gradel, Treasurer Kevin Johnson, Advertising Coordinator Dave Stratton of WQBR/Bear County, 99.9 FM and supporters Brady Carnahan and Rick Schulze for all their assistance in preparing for the event and setting up the meeting room.
In addition, he thanked his wife, Lisa Zerbe Byerly, for her being in support of his candidacy and also specifically Kate and Chris Miller of Cross Life Ventures, who he said have worked diligently to set up the campaign website and social media accounts, which can be viewed at: wwwvotedougbyerly.com and the Facebook Page:

His campaign said if you are interested in donating, you can do so via the website or contact the candidate or any committee member directly.
A few key areas that Byerly briefly discussed included the work needed to continue and proactively improve economic development projects throughout the county and continue efforts to create shared services with fire, police & EMS organizations, municipalities and educational entities to better serve the needs of citizens of the county.
Byerly said he is looking forward to continuing his work on city council in 2023 while also getting out to meet and talk with groups throughout the county leading up the May primary election.
Food for the event was provided by Sue Stover Catering along with Domino’s Pizza with music provided by local favorite, Phil Reeder.
Byerly, a Republican, becomes the first to publicly announce his candidacy.
