LH Football celebrates Senior Day against Shippensburg, falls 44-7
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Lock Haven football team (1-9, 0-7 PSAC East) hosted Shippensburg University (4-6, 3-4 PSAC East) on Saturday afternoon in the Bald Eagles final home contest of 2022. The Raiders took the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division contest, 44-7.
Prior to kickoff, the Bald Eagles honored the Senior Class of 2022: Austin Barber (Johnstown, Pa./Greater Johnstown), Justin White (Philadelphia/Ben Franklin), Easton Turner (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge (Assumption)) and Thomas KaiKai (Philadelphia/Lenape).
Saturday’s contest also stood as Veteran’s Appreciation Day.
The Raiders struck quickly in the first quarter and running back Khalid Dorsey picked up two of his three touchdowns in the first eight minutes to put Ship ahead 14-0.
Shippensburg notched three more touchdown scores in the second quarter and carried a 35-0 lead into halftime. In the second half, the Raiders collected nine more points to push ahead 44-0.
With 0:29 on the clock, the Bald Eagles got on the board as Samuel Barber (Johnstown, Pa./Greater Johnstown) led a 13-play 88-yard touchdown drive. Barber connected with Marquon Williams (Kenosha, Wis./Bradford (Minnesota State University-Mankato)) on a 14-yard score across the middle for the Bald Eagles lone score of the day as Shippensburg took home the 44-7 victory.
Barber finished 6-8 on pass attempts for 90 yards and the touchdown pass. Williams’ four receptions and 46 receiving yards both marked team-highs.
Defensively, Jaderian Johnson (Pensacola, Fla./Tate (North Dakota SCS)) was involved in a game-high 11 total tackles including 10 solo stops.
Victor Hunt (Bath, Pa./Northampton Area) grabbed an interception for the Bald Eagle defense and also recorded three tackles.

The Bald Eagles cap the 2022 regular season next Saturday (Nov. 12) with a road matchup against Edinboro. That contest with the Fighting Scots is set for a noon kickoff.
