Obituary
Sharon Bochkay, age 77, passed away on November 1, 2022. Sharon grew up in Renovo, PA, spending many cherished years in Newark Valley, NY after marriage, and finally spending her remaining years in Phillipsburg, NJ.
Sharon was a passionate mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and nurse. She cherished time with friends and family above all else. Sharon found joy in good food, and good company, and loved any music “you could dance to”. She was a compassionate person and no matter her circumstances would support and lift anyone in need, be it a friend or stranger.
Sharon lived in many places, but her heart always remained in Renovo with her life-long friends.
She was predeceased by her father and mother Henry and Helen Bochkay, and brother William “Wally” Bochkay.
She is survived by her sons Chris and David Slagle and daughter-in-law Jennifer Vaughn, daughter Joanna Slagle and son-in-law Jason Reese, grandchildren Corey, Cody, and Madison Slagle, Beatrice and Henry Reese, and her ex-husband and friend Dave Slagle.
The family is grateful that Sharon is finally at peace. A future memorial service is being planned. Charitable donations can be made to Doctors Without Borders.
