Beer sales to begin at PSU football on Saturday

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – Penn State Athletics announced that beer sales will begin at Beaver Stadium at Saturday’s game against Northwestern. The athletic department release said beer offerings will be available for purchase throughout Beaver Stadium, with the exception of areas near the student section.

All patrons 21 years of age and older who purchase alcohol will be required to show a government ID to obtain a wristband; further, all IDs will be scanned to confirm they are legitimate.

The school, in a Wednesday announcement, said patrons can purchase a maximum of two beverages (16 oz. cans) at any one time. All beer locations will be cashless. Alcohol sales will conclude at the end of the third quarter, and alcohol is not permitted to leave the stadium.

The athletic department release said, “Using their Happy Valley Hospitality, fans are encouraged to be loud and proud, be respectful and responsible, and be great fans and gracious hosts. Let’s keep our Beaver Stadium game day experience safe and one of the best in the country!”
