Central Mountain downed by Mifflinburg

MIFFLINBURG, PA- It was a beautiful evening for a battle of Wildcats as the Central Mountain Wildcat Football traveled over the mountain and down route 192 to the Mifflinburg Wildcats. Mifflinburg came into the night at 3-0 and Central Mountain 0-3 looking for their first win of the season. The CM Wildcats would battle and not give up, but interceptions and penalties would be too much to overcome. Mifflinburg taking the game 35-7.

The young Central Mountain Wildcats have shown improvements week over week and had lots of good looks Friday night. Junior Quarterback Brady Myers had 37 yards rushing, 34 yards passing for 9 first downs. Two interceptions were costly and allowed Mifflinburg to run up the score. Rocco Serafini had a strong showing with 160 yards rushing. Conner Foltz had 78 yards rushing and Jake Weaver 48 yards. Central Mountain had two interceptions and held the Mifflinburg offense several times.

An outstanding Mifflinburg Junior Quarterback Troy Dressler connected with several players to make the final 35-7. Running back Andrew Diehl would be a key player in the win for Mifflinburg having two interceptions.

Central Mountain now 0-4 will begin preparation to head to Shamokin next Friday night. Shamokin was downed by Selinsgrove Friday night 10-7 in overtime and move to 1-3 on the season. Mifflinburg undefeated in the season will head to take on the undefeated Jersey Shore Bulldogs for a showdown in Jersey Shore.
