Alice G. (Summerson) Ransdorf, 89, a former resident of Hammersley Fork passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Bucktail Medical Center, S. Renovo where she resided for the past several years.
Born August 13, 1933 in Renovo she was a daughter of the late William H. and Ella M. (Green) Summerson.
Alice was married on September 4, 1952 to Thomas E. Ransdorf, Sr. who died January 7, 2021. They celebrated over 68 years of marriage together.
She worked as secretary, treasurer and auditor for Noyes Twp. and Leidy Twp.
Alice enjoyed word search and reading. She was a former member of the Lady Bird Democratic Club and the Pleasant Valley Grange #1479.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald (Susan) Ransdorf of S. Renovo and Joseph (Sandy) Ransdorf of Renovo. 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Also, a son-in-law Dennis Gentzyel of Shinntown.
She was preceded in death by a son Thomas E. Ransdorf, Jr. a daughter Diane Gentzyel and a brother Paul Summerson.
Services and interment will be private at North Bend Cemetery.
