Former Keystone Central teacher returned to prison for parole violation

LOCK HAVEN, PA – A former local soccer coach is back in the Clinton County Correctional Facility for parole violations. Cole Black, 30, was recommitted to the prison in July to complete the remainder of his 24-month sentence.

Black in March of 2020 had entered a guilty plea in Clinton County Court to one count of institutional sexual assault. In September of that year Judge Michael Salisbury sentenced the former Central Mountain girls’ soccer coach to seven to 24 months in prison.

Court records show Black was incarcerated through July of 2021. In July of this year, he was returned to the McElhattan lockup following a petition to revoke bail and will serve the duration of his 24-month sentence.

According to a recent story on NorthcentralPa.com, Black had admitted during a pre-test for a polygraph that he drank alcohol, viewed pornography and had been in contact with minors, all violations of his parole.

Judge Salisbury, in sentencing Black nearly two years ago, had also imposed a number of stipulations, including two years of probation and Black’s registration as a tier two sexual offender.
Black had entered his guilty plea in March of 2020 to the reduced charge of institutional sexual assault, the case stemming from a November 2018 incident involving a then 17-year-old county high school co-ed.
