Sons and Daughters of Italy supports ATV trail development
LOCK HAVEN, PA – A local organization is adding its support for ATV trail development in the region.
Sons and Daughters of Italy Lodge #146 in Lock Haven recently made a $15,000 donation to Central Mountains ATV Association that will support construction of the new ATV connector trail in Brewery Run, just above Renovo.
When complete, the 1.2-mile connector will pave the way for ATV enthusiasts to ride into town and then hit the connector trail, which will lead to a state connector trail and to the popular Whiskey Springs ATV Trail.
The Sons board of directors made the donation in honor of life member and past president Dennis Caprio, who passed away in 2021.
“It has been a long-standing tradition of the Sons to commit gaming proceeds to projects that benefit all of Clinton County, and this project will help the economy of Renovo and surrounding communities,” said Sons President Dan Vilello. He said the Lock Haven Lodge partnered with the Renovo Sons and Daughters of Italy Lodge #149 to help the project come together.
“We thank the Sons for their generous donation and for their support of growing ATV tourism in Clinton County,” said Central Mountains ATV Association President Henry Sorgen. “The Brewery Run connector trail is one of the key links needed to help make the planned trail connecting the Whiskey Springs and Blood Skillet ATV trails a reality.”
