Lock Haven’s traffic signal replacement project up and running
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Clarion County contractor carrying out the massive state-funded traffic signal improvement project in Lock Haven had a crew hard at work at the north end of Paul Mack Boulevard on Tuesday. The $2.7 million upgrade began in early October of last year and is expected to continue until the end of August.
10 traffic signals upgrades are taking place:
– the 5-way intersection at the Civil War Monument at Bellefonte Avenue/Church & Corning Streets
– Bellefonte Avenue/Commerce Street
– Church/Henderson Streets
– Church/Vesper Streets
– Jay/Church Streets
– Jay/Main Streets
– Water/Grove Streets
– Main/Hanna Streets
– Main/Grove Streets
– Main/Vesper Streets
Additionally, work is being done at E. Main and Mill Streets involving the installation of a Rapid Response Flashing Beacon system near Triangle Park to enhance the safety for pedestrians crossing the street – the system alerts motorists that a pedestrian is in the walkway.
M&B Services LLC of Clarion, PA, is the contractor on the $2.7 million job.
