Williamson uses big second inning to down Bucktail baseball
TIOGA, PA- Williamson only compiled 5 hits against Bucktail, but an 18 run second inning and a season-high 11 errors would prove too much for the visiting Bucks, the final 23-0.
The host Warriors started off the game by scoring 5 runs in the bottom of the first inning before the huge second inning. Williamson ended their 2022 campaign on a high note and finished the season with a 6-14 mark. The Bucks are now in the midst of a 14-game slide.
The Bucks used 4 pitchers in just 2 Warrior at bats, allowing 10 walks.
Tristan Probst collected the only hit for Bucktail (1-14).
The Bucks now will conclude their 2022 season on the road at Taggart Park Friday to face the Phoenix of Sugar Valley Rural Charter. Sugar Valley has been playing much improved baseball as of late. They upset Northwest earlier this week to snap their 15-game losing streak, but then fell to St. John Neumann the following night to set their overall record at 1-16 before their rematch against Bucktail Friday. Bucktail won the first meeting between the two schools 13-12 in a game that was called after 6 innings due to darkness.
The meeting between the two Clinton County schools will be livestreamed on The Record Online with the first pitch slated for 4:30 p.m.
