BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – A wrestling era ended for Central Mountain High School this week as Wildcat Taylor Weaver announced his college choice, Delaware Valley University in Doylestown. Weaver’s graduation this spring will end a run of nine years that saw Weaver and his two older siblings, Hunter and Tanner, integral parts of the successful Central Mountain varsity wrestling program.

Hunter is a 2016 graduate of Central Mountain, Tanner the class of 2018. While both went on to wrestle at Luther College in Iowa, Taylor said he chose Delaware Valley because of its veterinary program as he plans to be a veterinarian.

Weaver was a four-year letter winner in both wrestling and soccer at Central Mountain. He was a two-time PIAA state tourney qualifier and the newest 100-wn Central Mountain wrestler and was a two-time Heartland Conference soccer all-star and two-year team captain in soccer. Weaver was a high honor roll student all four years of high school with a 4.0 GPA.

Hunter, the first of the Weaver brothers, sons of Diane and Rob Weaver, began youth wrestling in 2002, Tanner in 2004 and Taylor not long behind.

Taylor Weaver’s wrestling coaches, Biff Walizer and Doug Buckwalter, complimented Weaver on his accomplishments, his work ethic and his leadership in the Wildcat program.
