State COVID cases heading back up

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Wednesday reported 2,615 new cases. That is the largest one-day amount since Feb. 23.

The state reported 758 residents hospitalized, an increase of 27 from Tuesday. Those in intensive care units numbered 81, down three from the previous day.

Clinton County reported seven new cases for a total of 9,096; the most in one day since eight were recorded on March 3. Centre County increased by 33 for a total of 35,736 and Lycoming County reported 19 new cases for a total of 28,695.

The state reported 27 new deaths as the Clinton County figure increased by one to 127.
