COVID case update

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Wednesday reported 1,247 new cases of COVID-19, a drop of more than 700 from the Tuesday figure.

The state reported 506 residents hospitalized, up six from Tuesday. Those in intensive care units numbered 62, up one from the previous day.

Clinton County reported six new cases for a total at 9,058; that is the highest one-day amount since six were recorded on March 12. Centre County increased by 24 for a total of 35,412 and Lycoming County reported 16 new cases for a total of 28,522.

The state reported 11 new deaths as the Clinton County figure remained at 124; the county number unchanged for well over a month.
