State COVID case update

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Tuesday reported 797 new cases of COVID-19, the first time in six days the number has increased over the previous day.

The state reported 424 residents hospitalized, up seven from Monday. Those in intensive care units numbered 59, down 11 from the previous day.

Clinton County reported one new case, the first case since Saturday, the total at 9,030. Centre County increased by 16 for a total of 36,121 and Lycoming County reported four new cases for a total of 28,384.

The state reported 32 new deaths as the Clinton County figure remained at 124; the county number unchanged for over a month.
