State COVID case update

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Tuesday reported 593 new cases of COVID-19.

The state reported 502 residents hospitalized, an increase of 13 from Monday, ending three straight weeks of declining numbers. Those in intensive care units numbered 75, unchanged from the previous day.

Clinton County reported one new case, the total increasing to 9,027. Centre County added 15 new cases for a total of 35,063 and Lycoming County listed one new case for a total of 28,373.

The state reported 27 new deaths as the Clinton County figure remained at 124.
